The PIHL Player of the Month in Varsity AA for October 2018 is Greg Handwork of Greater Latrobe.
Handwork earned wins in 3 of his 4 appearances in the month, proving that his Wildcats are once again a contender in Class AA. The senior goaltender posted a 1.10 Goals Against Average and a .910 save percentage in October, but his two shutouts to open the season best-signified his strong play.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will recognize Handwork on the ice during one of the upcoming Penguins games at PPG Paints Arena.
