RILEY MASTOWSKI - NESHANNOCK

Riley Mastowski has backstopped an upstart Neshannock team into first place in the PIHL Class B North Division this season. As only a sophomore, the goaltender has a 8-1 record between the pipes for the Lancers. In his lone loss, Mastowski set a personal season-high of 44 saves against Ringgold, the top seed in the South Division. In his best game of first half of the season, he turned aside all 39 shots he faced against Burrell en route to a 5-0 win for Neshannock. Mastowski leads Class B in Save Percentage at .936, and his 1.83 Goals Against Average places him second in the classification. His 8 wins and 2 shutouts have him tied for the classification lead in both categories. He has yielded 2 goals or fewer in all but one game in which he has played this year.

Away from the rink, Mastowski has a 3.90 grade point average as a sophomore at Kennedy Catholic High School. In his spare time, he runs his own dog-breeding program. Accompanying that endeavor, he donates pet food to an area animal shelter or contributes to the medical needs of a locally-sheltered pet each time he successfully breeds a dog. Mastowski has also used money he has earned from his breeding operation to purchase Christmas gifts for nursing home residents and for families in need.
